The 2025 Birmingham Battery Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as the UK Battery Exhibition) will be held at the Birmingham International Exhibition Center NEC in the UK from July 9th to 10th. The exhibition is held once a year and Event Partners is its organizer. After years of development, the exhibition has become one of the top ten battery energy storage exhibitions in the world.
The UK Battery Show has been successfully held for 12 years and is the largest and most professional energy storage exhibition in the UK. The exhibition has long been the largest gathering of UK energy storage manufacturers, developers and installers – encouraging cooperation between the two industries to firmly establish the position of these two technologies in the future energy system.
Exhibition Review
The last British Battery Exhibition attracted more than 4,000 professional visitors and more than 300 professional exhibitors. There were exhibitors and visitors from many countries including the United Kingdom, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and China. Chinese companies participating in the exhibition include BYD, Maitian, JinkoSolar, Sanjing, Growatt, GoodWe, JA Solar, Longi, Suntech, Sohang, and Aero. The exhibition hall will be expanded in 2025, and the exhibition area will be twice as large as in previous years. More than 80% of exhibitors have registered and will continue to participate.
Market Background
In recent years, the British government has vigorously supported the photovoltaic power generation industry. According to statistics from Solar Energy UK, a British solar industry organization, by the end of 2021, the UK’s cumulative photovoltaic installed capacity reached 14.6GW, with an additional installed capacity of 730MW; at present, China has developed into the world’s largest photovoltaic module production and export market. According to statistics from the European Statistical Office, in the UK, more than 90% of rooftop photovoltaic products come from China. It can be seen that China has become an important photovoltaic import market in the UK and even the entire European region. According to forecasts, by 2023, the UK rooftop photovoltaic market will continue to grow at an annual growth rate of 30%, and the application demand for Chinese rooftop photovoltaic products in the UK will also be further expanded.
