SAN FRANCISCO — Lift Events and Experiencesknown for organizing Canada’s leading cannabis industry conferences and trade shows, has announced its expansion into the United States with Lift San Francisco, a three-day trade show taking place August 2-4, 2023, in Moscone Center.
“As the events industry recovers, the timing is perfect for a reimagined event for the West Coast market under an iconic brand like Lift, in an iconic cannabis industry location like San Francisco,” said Lindsay Roberts, Portfolio Manager, Events and Experiences at Lift. “We all have a new appreciation for the value and meaning of in-person connection. And the cannabis industry has a historic appreciation for the value of community, coming together and helping each other. As the industry becomes a truly global marketplace, the idea of crossing borders becomes increasingly appealing.”
Lift San Francisco will incorporate some of the historic elements of the Cannabis Business Summit & Expo, but the focus will still be on bringing surprises and “aha” moments to the trade show floor through live music, cameo appearances, awards presentations, demonstrations and the Lift After Party.
“The key to hosting these moments is to immerse ourselves in the local cannabis community and spend as much time as possible asking questions and listening to what people from all parts of the industry want to see,” Roberts said.
San Francisco is known as the center of the cannabis reform movement in the United States, with the first Head shop in the United States opening in the city in 1966. This location offers brands the unique opportunity to showcase their products directly at the show floor, giving attendees the chance to see, touch and feel the products.
“Lift San Francisco will shine a light on how product innovation happens in the industry and the value of innovation to consumers and the broader community. This event will also provide a journey and value proposition for many segments of the industry, from the people who touch the factory floor to the highly engaged consumers in the local market,” Roberts said.
Each unique Lift event attracts over 10,000 attendees, 200+ exhibiting companies, and 130 speakers and educational sessions, and provides one-on-one conversations and connections for audiences across the cannabis industry, including producers, brands and product delivery, advocacy and investment, and legal, among others.
Lift San Francisco will feature strategy and advocacy conferences, as well as activities for professionals and VIP consumers. The Lift Cannabis Business Conference will take place on the first day of the show, August 2, with the following two days dedicated to exhibits and activities. Lift will address current industry topics such as diversity and the future viability of cannabis.
“We are focused on the needs of the region we serve and making sure to not only focus on what is happening now, but also on the future of the market and how we can all work together to move the industry forward in a positive and meaningful way,” Roberts said.
Other features of Lift San Francisco include its Discovery District, brand pavilion and retail area, dedicated budtender and store manager programs, inclusive networking opportunities, an on-site outdoor consumption lounge and competitive pricing for exhibitors, attendees and partners.
“The event will pleasantly surprise attendees with advocacy-driven content, inclusive networking, compelling activations, a unique blend of professionalism and fun, and unparalleled product discovery opportunities with real products on the show floor to see, touch and feel,” Roberts said.
