PARIS/LAS VEGAS – UFI, the global association for the exhibition industry, will host the 90th UFI World Congress in Las Vegas, November 1-4, 2023. This will be the first time the event, the largest annual gathering of exhibition executives, will be held in the United States.
The news was announced at the 2021 UFI World Congress in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The 2023 UFI World Congress will be held at the ARIA Resort and Casino and hosted by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA).
“We are delighted to be hosting a UFI Congress in the United States for the first time. This country is of great importance to UFI and that is the message we want to convey,” said UFI President Anbu Varathan.

“What a wonderful win-win situation. Congratulations to Las Vegas. We look forward to this congress, which will bring the global exhibition industry together in the USA for the UFI World Congress in 2023. As the global trade association for our sector, this will enable us to connect our colleagues from all US markets even better with their global peers,” said Kai Hattendorf, CEO and Managing Director of UFI.
The UFI World Congress takes place each year in October or November at trade show venues around the world. In 2019, the event was held in Bangkok. In 2020, due to global travel restrictions related to the pandemic, the Congress went digital, with programming in Hong Kong, Dubai, London and Bogota. The Congress will take place in Muscat, Oman in 2022.
“We are honored to be selected as the host city for the first UFI World Congress in the United States, further demonstrating the destination’s appeal as a global destination for business and leisure travel,” said Brian Yost, LVCVA’s Chief Operating Officer. “We are excited to welcome congress delegates from around the world and look forward to providing them with a unique Las Vegas experience.”
“On behalf of MGM Resorts and Aria, we are thrilled to have been selected as the host of the 2023 UFI World Congress,” said Stephanie Glanzer, Senior Vice President and Chief Sales Officer, MGM Resorts International.
