LONDON & BOLOGNA, Italy — A new agreement between Informa PLC and BolognaFiere Group will expand the reach of Cosmoprof Asia, a leading trade show in the beauty and personal care market in Hong Kong, Thailand and India.
Informa is investing $25.5 million (€25 million) in BolognaFiere Group, a leading trade fair operator that organises exhibitions in 12 countries around the world and was the first Italian trade fair operator to open its own office in China. The deal extends a long-term partnership between the two companies under the Cosmoprof Asia brand, with the aim of expanding it to other geographic markets, including Shenzhen in mainland China and the Middle East.

Additionally, the companies have decided to move Cosmoprof Asia 2022 from Hong Kong to Singapore and rename this year’s show, which will be held from November 16 to 19 at Singapore Expo, Cosmoprof Singapore Special Edition. The decision was made due to Hong Kong’s travel restrictions, which require all incoming travelers to quarantine at a government-designated location for 14 days.
Cosmoprof, the leading beauty trade show in the Asia-Pacific region, is expected to welcome 1,200 exhibitors from Asia and other global markets and 19 country and group pavilions across more than 50,000 square meters of exhibition space this year. The 2019 edition of the show attracted more than 40,000 attendees.

Its sister show, Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, which is 50 years old and considered the most important trade show for the beauty industry in the world, attracted 2,700 exhibitors from 70 countries and 220,000 visitors from around the world in 2022. The 2023 show will be held from March 16 to 20, 2023.
