DALLAS— The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), the world’s largest association for the exhibition and events industry, has announced four key promotions within the organization following the departure of Scott Craighead, CEM, who, after 14 years with IAEE, is leaving for an opportunity with a destination marketing organization. The promotions are:
- Lisa Buchanan – Vice President, Engagement and Digital Strategy
- Hannah Deters, CEM – Director, Event Management
- Marsha Flanagan, M.Ed., CEM – Senior Vice President, Events and Learning Experiences
- Stacy Powers – Director, Learning Experiences
“IAEE is fortunate to have such incredible talent on our team. The IAEE team is comprised of 22 industry professionals whose primary focus is to drive in-person event activity and enhance the IAEE member experience.

She will also lead IAEE in its digital engagement strategies to enhance the member experience. Buchanan previously served as the association’s senior director of engagement, where she was responsible for all member and chapter initiatives worldwide.
The association recently completed a major digital transformation strategy project and began implementing key processes to better serve its members. “We’ve long recognized the need to evolve with the times,” DuBois said.
Hannah Deters, CEM, serves as IAEE’s Director of Event Management, where she is responsible for overseeing the registration database and logistical coordination for IAEE events. She also serves as a liaison to the IAEE Young Professionals Committee staff.
