DALLAS — The Exhibition Services & Contractors Association (ESCA) is launching a new campaign called ALL IN to demonstrate how its members are preparing to safely resume events — and they’re asking for your participation.
ESCA is seeking short, four-minute videos on how exhibit companies and contractors are preparing to resume in-person events, from the health and safety precautions they are taking to how they are managing the unique challenges posed by COVID-19. They are also looking for stories on how members are navigating current issues such as staffing, flexibility and communication, as well as new technologies and solutions they have developed to alleviate any real or perceived concerns.
“During and after this global pandemic, everything has evolved, including events and vendors,” said Randall Pekowski, ESCA Board Member and President and COO of The Expo Group. “ESCA member companies have been hit the hardest, and the most resilient have evolved. ESCA is the platform to share our members’ progress and restart plans with event organizers.”
To achieve its goal of sharing the collective work and challenges facing the events industry, ESCA will feature the videos on its website. Excerpts from the videos may also be used during a virtual roundtable on June 15, where ESCA President Neil McMullin will host industry leaders, venues, workers, contractors and suppliers to answer customer questions about how the industry will address the unique challenges that come with the return of in-person events.
“Our campaign will communicate that we are ready not only to resume operations, but to participate in the evolution of events,” Pekowski said. “We will see a greater evolution of in-person events in the coming years than we have seen in decades: new models, new strategies, new partnerships and new revenue streams. ESCA’s vision is to capture the voice of every member company and share those voices across multiple mediums over the next 90 days.”
The deadline to submit videos about the unique initiatives you are implementing is May 28. You can upload your video using the Expo-ESCA Content Submission Form. ESCA has also created a tip sheet on how to create a professional and compelling video here.
