ORLANDO, Florida – The Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) recently promoted Eric Blanc, Sr., CMP, to the position of Deputy Director. Blanc will oversee the OCCC’s Sales, Marketing, Event Management and Exhibitor Services divisions.
Blanc served as OCCC’s Senior Sales Manager prior to his new appointment and started at OCCC in 2019 as Assistant Sales Manager.
“I look forward to continuing to build on our strong partnerships and collaborating with our clients to further enhance the customer experience,” said Eric Blanc. “Through meaningful and strategic leadership, I look forward to successfully leading the OCCC’s Sales, Marketing, Event Management and Exhibitor Services divisions to create transformative experiences for our clients, exhibitors and attendees.”
Over the past several years, the OCCC has averaged nearly 200 events, including 115 conventions and trade shows that attract more than 1.5 million attendees to the region each year and also generate approximately $3 billion in economic impact each year in Central Florida.

Prior to joining the OCCC Sales Division, Blanc was the Director of Sales, Marketing and Convention Services at the Tampa Convention Center, where he spent 15 years of his career. During his career, Blanc held positions at leading industry organizations such as The Freeman Companies and GES Expositions, where he served as National Sales Director for both companies. Blanc graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Marketing, and holds a certificate from the IAAM Public Assembly Facility Management School in Oglebay.
