NEW YORK — Emerald Holding, Inc. has entered into a strategic partnership with Comexposium, owner of the SIAL brand of events for the food and beverage industry, to launch SIAL America. The show is expected to be the first large-scale, general food trade show focused on the $1.5 trillion U.S. food and beverage market.
The partners’ goal is to create a unique event that provides new opportunities for growth and innovation for the entire food industry, said Jessica Blue, Executive Vice President of Emerald. She added, “We are excited to partner with Comexposium to bring the established and successful SIAL brand to the United States. SIAL America will launch in March 2022 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and will be held alongside Emerald’s well-established International Pizza Expo and International Artisan Bakery Expo. This new event will bring the food industry together and bring a new and distinctive offering to the market.”
The two companies formed the partnership to leverage Emerald’s U.S. live event portfolio and Comexposium’s 50-year-old SIAL global brand and network, which includes 10 international food shows in France, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, India, China, Algeria and Indonesia. The SIAL brand serves more than 700,000 attendees and 16,000 exhibitors each year. The new show will integrate the U.S. into SIAL’s international food and beverage hub, which connects an exhibitor base of food and beverage manufacturers with food retailers, importers, exporters, distributors and wholesalers.

The response from international markets to SIAL has been positive, with SIAL network members from countries including Italy, Greece, Korea, India and China announcing their support for the new American show.
