SHELTON, Connecticut — Clarion Events Food & Beverage Group and the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association (FRLA) have announced the revival of the all-new Florida Restaurant & Lodging Show (FRLS), which was scheduled to take place Nov. 1-4 at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando. Following the cancellation of the September 2021 show, Rita Ugianskis, vice president of Clarion Events Food & Beverage Group, said organizers plan to use the time “to refocus the 2022 event to meet the evolving needs of this rapidly changing industry, with a focus on the event experience and value.”
“We felt it was time for a makeover,” said Carol Dover, president and CEO of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association. “We believe in the power of in-person networking through a strong, dynamic expo and conference, and we look forward to rebuilding and relaunching this 40-year-old event. We are working closely with Clarion Events to develop timely education, exciting, high-profile events with top chefs and presenters, and a diverse exhibit hall showcasing the hottest trends and concepts. Additionally, we are thrilled that the FRLA Board of Directors meeting will be held in conjunction with this new event.”

The expo will transform into an F&B experience, featuring educational theaters, high-production demonstrations, wine and spirits, flair bartending, a Latino initiative and more. In-depth training for independents, small and mid-sized chains, regional chains and hospitality industry professionals will focus on operational topics such as human resources, marketing and finance. Rounding it all out will be a variety of networking opportunities including roundtable lunches, receptions, a fundraiser and the FRLA Awards.
