LONDON – London-based Clarion Events, which organises over 180 events in 50 countries worldwide, has recently acquired Digital Insurance Agenda (DIA), the leading European event series serving the booming insurtech market.
DIA, founded by digital insurance strategists Roger Peverelli and Reggy de Feniks, is renowned for its insurtech festivals in Barcelona, Amsterdam and Munich, and its content-rich platforms including DIA TV.
“The addition of DIA further strengthens Clarion’s ability to deliver value to our clients and partners in the insurtech and insurance community,” said Russell Wilcox, CEO of Clarion Events. “We look forward to working with DIA’s highly talented team to open up a range of exciting new digital products and services to insurance companies, technology leaders and investors around the world.”

In 2019, Clarion acquired InsureTech Connect (ITC). The ITC Vegas show hosted over 30,000 insurtech, insurance and investment leaders from over 100 countries. Clarion also launched the brand in Asia in June. The acquisition of DIA complements Clarion’s existing ITC offering in the insurtech market.
“We are excited to expand ITC globally and look forward to working closely with DIA to accelerate our efforts in Europe,” said Megan Kuczynski, President of InsureTech Connect.
In recent years, the DIA teams in the Netherlands and Spain have also expanded their digital content platforms.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has radically reshaped global insurance markets and given new impetus to our InsureTech Connect brand, which is focused on the digital transformation of the industry,” said Iain Pitt, Managing Director of Clarion Events. “ITC is already the largest event of its kind in the world, and the acquisition of DIA gives us two market-leading events in Europe as well as an established digital footprint.”

According to Roger Peverelli, Co-Founder of DIA, “Since launching DIA, we have been committed to connecting insurance executives with insurtech leaders, helping to drive the adoption of insurtech at scale, resulting in a significant impact on insurers’ top and bottom lines. By combining our assets and capabilities with those of Clarion Events and the ITC brand, we are taking this next step.”
Reggy de Feniks, co-founder of DIA, added: “With ITC, we aim to bring new added value to our clients, from start-ups to big tech names, from national insurers to large multinational carriers, and from venture capitalists to investment firms. By multiplying our network and global coverage, we can now serve our partners even better as a strategic counterparty on all continents, on all platforms and all year round.”
