SHELTON, Connecticut — Clarion Events’ new partnership with Consero Group, which creates invitation-only programs through intimate in-person and virtual events and boardroom-style roundtables for senior executives, furthers the company’s focus on connecting buyers and sellers through meaningful meetings. The move follows last year’s partnership with Quartz Events, a provider of one-on-one meetings.
Based in Maryland, Consero was founded in 2010 and serves clients in the legal, customer experience, human resources, procurement and technology sectors. It is known for its sophisticated programs and robust training, aimed at a senior-level audience.

“The Consero team has developed a great model, their event format is tailored to a very defined attendance in a smaller event environment, creating exclusivity and value for attendees, which is a sought-after experience that we are seeing more and more of today in our business,” said Greg Topalian, CEO of Clarion Events North America.

In total, Clarion hosts more than 180 events in 50 countries from its 15 offices. Clarion Events in North America has seen dramatic growth through a series of such partnerships focused on value-driven connection programs. “While our core business is coming back strong, the last 21 months have shown us that we can’t rest on our laurels,” Topalian said. “We must continue to evolve our business and find new ways to create value.”

He also told Trade Show Executive that there will likely be more partnerships in the future. “I would say yes, Clarion will likely remain and continue to be active in the M&A market. Not just in the alternative models like Quartz and Consero, but also in the traditional businesses,” Topalian said.
