CES 2023 to rock Las Vegas with 100,000 attendees

LAS VEGAS—The trade show industry is back in full force, and CES, which kicks off January 5, 2023 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, will be no exception.

THEConsumer Technology Association(CTA) reports that CES 2023 will likely be the largest in-person, audited retail event in the United States since early 2020.The show’s footprint is on track to grow by more than 40% starting at CES 2022.

“People are eager to return to Las Vegas for CES 2023, and it’s going to be awesome,” said Gary Shapiro, CTA president and CEO. “We’re optimistic that we’ll reach our goal of 100,000 attendees, making it the largest independently audited post-pandemic tech event. This year’s show will feature keynote addresses from tech visionaries and the opportunity to see and touch the technology that’s disrupting industries and changing our lives for the better.”

CES 2022 is hosted by Omicron and shows the world how it’s done

The last time CES hit six-figure attendance was in January 2020, just weeks before the world came to a screeching halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, still shut down due to COVID, the show was entirely virtual. Then in January 2022, as the country faced a surge of the Omicron variant, only 44,000 people attended, and the CTA made the difficult decision to cut the show short by one day.

Ces 2022

CES and Trade Fair Manager The accolades go hand in hand. CES has been named to the Gold 100 13 times for its 2007-2019 shows and for every Gold 100 except the 2022 edition, which ranked the 2021 shows. CES was held virtually in 2021, so that edition did not qualify for the Gold 100. CES has also been named to the Fastest 50 three times for its 2018, 2012, and 2011 show years. To date, three keynotes have been announced: John Deere, as well as AMD and BMW, will offer pre-show keynotes.
